Hi, my name is Susanne Ryan and I?m from America. I have a Bachelors in Speech

Pathology and Education and a Masters in Counseling Psychology. Ten years ago I

traveled to South America to learn Spanish so I have a understanding of the difficulties

and joys in learning a new language. For the past two and a half years I have been

traveling in Southeast Asia, India and Nepal and now China. I came to Yangshuo to

study Chen style Tai Chi and Chi Gong. I thought I would only stay a few months but

found myself falling in love with China, its people and culture. I really enjoy teaching

English at Zhuoyue. The classes are small and the students are really motivated. It?s

fun to watch them make such good progress in a short period of time. I look forward to

meeting you.

語(yǔ)言學(xué)習(xí)及教學(xué)經(jīng)歷：

2000年--2007年，就讀于美國(guó)德州大學(xué)，主修意大利語(yǔ)和法語(yǔ)，兼修語(yǔ)言學(xué)。

2003年–2007年，作為T(mén)ESL TEACHER，按自己設(shè)計(jì)教案，運(yùn)用多種技能，教授墨西哥移民英語(yǔ)，并組織和領(lǐng)導(dǎo)討論小組。

2005-2007年，兼職UNIVERSITY TUTOR ，一對(duì)一輔導(dǎo)大學(xué)生法語(yǔ)和意大利語(yǔ)。

2009-2010年，在上海一家臺(tái)灣子弟學(xué)校任教，任教期間，教授從幼兒園到初中各個(gè)級(jí)別的班級(jí)，設(shè)計(jì)和編寫(xiě)屬于自己的教案，另外，還設(shè)計(jì)和教授美式烹飪課程，積累了十分豐富的教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。

2010年夏天正式加入卓悅

Self Introduction My name is Jaime Valentin Cortez.

I’m an American from the great state of Texas. I went to the University of Texas and earned two Bachelors in Arts; one in Italian and the other in French. I also studied Portuguese and linguistics.

Obviously, much of my life is about language and its study. I love languages, English, words, and the history of speech. I came to China to work in Shanghai originally, but after a year teaching there, I decided to move to beautiful Yangshuo. I like the pace of life and atmosphere of this town, especially the culture here at Zhuo Yue.

I believe students should feel comfortable and excited about speaking English, and I believe they should learn it using real-world materials, not things designed for ESL speakers. I try to keep a fun and relaxed atmosphere in my class while encouraging students to learn not only to speak English, but to USE English in an authentic way that sounds natural and organic. I focus on pronunciation and the skills needed to be able to teach yourself after you’ve left our school.

I am so grateful to have the chance to share my native language and culture with my students. I’ll see you in class!
